Kindle Edition307 pages
Published August 10th 2012

Janet Maple's stellar career ended with a lay off and her boyfriend of five years told her that he wants to be just friends. When she lands a job at one of New York’s premier boutique investment firms, Janet begins to hope that her luck is finally turning for the better. Not only is she happy with her new paycheck, but things also seem to be looking up on the personal front, as the company’s handsome attorney expresses keen interest in Janet. However, her euphoria is short-lived, as Janet soon discovers alarming facts about her new employer’s business tactics. When her boss dismisses her suspicions as groundless, Janet finds herself confiding to a cute IT engineer, Dean Snider. The closer she gets to Dean, the more Janet is tempted to break her rule of not dating co-workers, but what she doesn’t realize is that everything she knows about Dean, including his occupation and even his name, is a lie.

Dennis Walker is a top-notch white collar crime investigator who will stop at nothing to put culprits away. When an opportunity for an undercover assignment at one of New York’s premier boutique broker dealers comes up, Dennis jumps at the chance, adopting a persona of geeky IT engineer, Dean Snider. While he may be an ace at his job, years of experience fail him when Dennis meets Janet Maple and finds himself torn between his professional obligations and his personal desires. Will he have to choose between his feelings and duty, or will he find a way to satisfy both?

This is a great read!  The characters and workplace drama are believable and easy to relate to.  It was fun to see how the various characters interact as the plot unfolds.  There's a bit of everything in here- mystery, romance, drama, comedy...  It's easy-going and fun!

I really enjoyed this book! I've read several cleaning/organizing books and this is my favorite! The book itself is efficient and an enjoyable read. (something I never expected to say about a cleaning book) I like the way the house is divided and the overall approach to getting organizing- all to meet individual needs. Great ideas and recipes for staying efficient!  I definitely recommend this one!

The Astronaut Wives Club: A True Story

The Astronaut Wives Club: A True Story
by Lily Koppel

Hardcover288 pages
Published June 11th 2013 by Grand Central Publishing (first published January 1st 2013)

As America's Mercury Seven astronauts were launched on death-defying missions, television cameras focused on the brave smiles of their young wives. Overnight, these women were transformed from military spouses into American royalty. They had tea with Jackie Kennedy, appeared on the cover of Life magazine, and quickly grew into fashion icons.

Annie Glenn, with her picture-perfect marriage, was the envy of the other wives; platinum-blonde Rene Carpenter was proclaimed JFK's favorite; and licensed pilot Trudy Cooper arrived on base with a secret. Together with the other wives they formed the Astronaut Wives Club, meeting regularly to provide support and friendship. Many became next-door neighbors and helped to raise each other's children by day, while going to glam parties at night as the country raced to land a man on the Moon.

As their celebrity rose-and as divorce and tragic death began to touch their lives-they continued to rally together, and the wives have now been friends for more than fifty years. THE ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB tells the real story of the women who stood beside some of the biggest heroes in American history.

I love idea of this book- showing us the perspective of the wives of the astronauts.  Their story is compelling and truly intriguing.  The actual writing style wasn't my favorite.  I had trouble staying "involved" with the story even though it was really interesting to me.  I enjoyed hearing about the women despite the writing.  They really went through a lot so we could race to space.

This is a funny story full of jealously, romance and drama.  It's a nice fluffy story you don't have to think about- which can be really nice sometimes.  Quite entertaining!

I really enjoyed this story!  It's easy reading with believable characters and some fun.  It's light but there's more to it than I expected.  The story has some quirky and unexpected turns that kept me turning pages late into the night!  I highly recommend this for anyone who likes cute, clean romance.
