Christy is one of my all-time favorite books. It's the story of a young girl who chooses to go from a life of ease to one of work and new experiences. Having led a protected life, it's a struggle for her to adjust to seeing a culture and people in a harsh environment. She learns a lot about herself while helping those around her. It's one of those books I just keep coming back to again and again!
